Celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day
Indonesia have celebrate its 72th Independence Day on Wednesday, Aug. 17, when the national colors red and white will be splashed across the country. In addition lots of flag-waving, parades and family gatherings, here’s a look at many events happening on that date.
On the morning of August 17, many students and government officials join ceremonies to raise the red and white banner. The official flag raising ceremony takes place at the State Palace, where hundreds gather on bleachers to watch musical performances from various provinces. The event is also broadcast live on local television channels. President Joko Widodo will lead the ceremony.
So many thing can to do in Indonesia to celebrate for the Independence Day, here i will tell you about where some activities in Mountain to celebrate this.
- Mount Merbabu (Central Java)
Featuring two savanna terrain that can be used for camping, Mount Merbabu can enter into a choice of climbing mountains. Mount Merbabu can be climbed through four lines namely Selo, Thekelan, Cunthel, and Wekas. The 3,145 meter high mountain above sea level (mdpl) has three peaks named Puncak Syarif, Triangulasi, and Merbabu. - Mount Batur (Bali)
Mount Batur (Gunung Batur) is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas north west of Mount Agung on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The south east side of the larger 10×13 km caldera contains a caldera lake. The inner 7.5-kilometer-wide caldera, which was formed during emplacement of the Bali (or Ubud) ignimbrite, has been dated at about 23,670 and 28,500 years ago. (wikipedia) - Mount Prau (Dieng)
The uniqueness of the mountain is located in Dieng Plateau is to have a hilly terrain near the peak area. Climbers often call Bukit Teletubbies. Mount the height of 2565 mdpl this can be a choice of places to climb because the path is not too extreme climbing. From the peak area, can be seen range of mountains such as Sindoro, Sumbing, Merapi, and Slamet. Mount Prau can be climbed through the Patak Bull and Dieng lines and starts from a height of 1700 mdpl.
